As you may know, here at London Cookery School, we are big fans of cookery books.
Some are life-long friends that have been passed down from generation to generation.
Some are new friends that we look up time and time again.

Here in our library we have about 400 cookery books. Not all of them are good.

Below are 21 of our top all-time favourites.

​The Nom Wah Cookbook
One of our favourite cookery books from this iconic Dim Sum restaurant that has been in New York for more than 100 years.
This has fantastic recipes and also this is the only book that has published the correct recipe for Cheung Fun and the amazing sauce.

If you are only to buy 1 Dim Sum book, this is the one we would recommend. 2nd and 3rd will be the the ones below by Ng Lip Kah and then A. Wong.

China: The Cookbook
Our definitive cookbook with recipes from all the regions of China.
Over 650 recipes in total.
Truly a treasured kitchen companion.

We love this book for the breadth and diversity of regions covered. 
Beautifully illustrated, beautifully authentic, and suitable for novices as well as experts.

The Dumpling Sisters Cookbook
This is a family favourite with so many family style dishes that evoke fond memories of growing up and sharing meals as a family.

This is a good general cookbook that focuses the heartwarming Chinese comfort dishes.

The recipes are all accessible, with beautiful pictures throughout.
