As you may know, here at London Cookery School, we are big fans of kitchen equipment.
Our kitchens are packed full of the latest gadgets that make life sweeter! 

As our staff will testify, we have between us, a graveyard of gadgets that have simply failed or have not lived up to our expectations, so our standards are exceedingly high.

Stand Mixer
We use this at the Cookery School to prepare the Bao dough and for our Dim Sum Class. Sturdy, heavy duty, and an all round excellent piece of kit for making cake mixture, dough work and whisking.

It comes with all 3 attachments, a massive 5 litre stainless steel bowl, 1200W motor with a 10 year guarantee, and includes built-in weighing scales.

Electric Steamer
Excellent 800W steamer with stackable trays.
Versatile steamer with 3 stackable trays allows you to steam a lot of Dim Sum, rice, fish or vegetables. Fast heating with powerful 800W heat element. (We do not recommend anything below 800W). Most components are  dishwasher safe, and the built-in timer will stop and keep the food warm if you get distracted.
The steamer trays nest inside one another to save space when not being used.

Rolling Pin
These hard-wearing rolling pins have been used in the school since we started more than 15 years ago. Perfect non-stick, with a good weight to them. Dishwasher safe and the perfect length to roll out dough wrappers and for buns.

These work much better than the traditional wooden rolling pins which will absorb flavours and also discolour after a while.

Pastry Cutter
This Pastry Cutter set is perfect for cutting the dumpling wrappers.

Ranging from 5.5cm and up to 10.5cm, these allow you to make dim sum of differing sizes.

Hard-wearing, and dishwasher safe, Each cutter is reversible and has a smooth side and a fancy side. After use, the cutters can be stored in the handy box that it comes in.  ​

Silicone Steamer Mesh Mat
These stop your beautiful Dim Sum from sticking to the bottom of your steamer trays.
These come in packs with differing sizes, and are perfect for all steamers. Electric, Bamboo or Metal steamers.

Easy to wash, and the holes in the mesh allow the steam to circulate efficiently and also allow condensation to drip through so you don't end up with soggy bottoms!​

This extra large non-stick rolling mat keeps your kitchen surfaces clean and the surface means you do not need to add flour or any such precautions. Rolling becomes a breeze.

Perfect for rolling out your Dim Sum wrappers and for kneading, and any other dough work​.

Digital Thermometer
Now we've seen and used £299 wireless thermometers, but seriously?

This simple thermometer does the job perfectly well. The probe end goes in the Dim Sum, and into the steamer. The display screen sits outside in a safe place. When the food reaches temperature, it will beep and let you know.
